Meet the teachers:

Regina Chaeli RN LMT eRYT: Regina is the coordinator of Yoga Darshana Center and the director of the 200 hr Long Island Yoga Teacher Training Program. She has studied formal yoga for over 30 years. She is a licensed massage therapist and registered nurse. Regina has completed advanced training with Richard Miller in Yoga Nidra, as well as many other yoga modalities. She has a strong understanding of the human body and how it works. Her specialty is guiding the student on the inner journey.

Debra Jensen PTA, eRYT 500: Deb is a Physical Therapist Assistant, Integrative Yoga Therapist and a Certified Health Counselor. She trained with IYT for her 200 & 500 hour yoga therapist certifications. Debra has been teaching yoga classes for cancer survivors, as well as chair yoga, Level I & II classes and specialized workshops at Southampton Hospital for more than 9 years. Debra also teaches as faculty with IYT's teacher training program at Kripalu.

Jeff Logan: Jeff is the owner of Body, Mind & Soul yoga center in Huntington. He is currently on the Board of Iyengar Yoga Association of NY & an Officer of the Long Island Yoga Association where he writes the Asana Column for its quarterly newsletter. He is certified in the Iyengar tradition and is known for his in-depth, yet light hearted approach to teaching asana. Jeff teaches the Iyengar Yoga section of the yoga teacher training program.


Matthew Pecorella eRYT: Matthew is the director of Yoga Darshana Center. He is a teacher and student of classical yoga for over eleven years. He has completed training in Yoga Nidra with Richard Miller and a student of Patanjali Kundalini Yoga Care. He has a gentle, loving technique that guides the student into the pureness of the heart. Matthew teaches Restorative Yoga & Essential Oils, Subtle Body Science and yoga business & marketing.

Dolores Burns MA RYT: Dolores has been a teacher and student of yoga for over 20 years. She was a student and secretary for Gurani Anjali for 14 years at Yoga Anand Ashram where she did extensive training in yoga and eastern philosophy. Dolores is currently a student of Swami Chandrasekharanand Saraswati and Sivarpita from Patanjali Kundalini Yoga Care. She has a BA in Education. Dolores teaches The Bhagavad Gita sections.



Donna Brook RN MA RYT: Donna Brook is a registered nurse with extensive experience in working with clients in crisis and transition. She is also a Reiki Master, Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, Clinical Aromatherapy Practitioner, Angel Therapy Practitioner, and holds Therapeutic Lifestyle Certification. Donna is trained and certified in Ayurveda through the International Vedic Institute. She has also studied energy medicine with Alberto Villoldo.

Rosemary Hudson, eRYT500: Rosemary began studying yoga at 16 years old. As the middle child of seven, she found peace and focus as well as a low impact way to be fit. She began her yoga teaching career at 19, took a hiatus after a few years and returned to being a leader of the practice 10 years ago. Rosemary is known for her positive, happy outlook and zest for life. She enjoys bringing the healing practice and peace of yoga to people of all ages.

Heather Kash RYT: Heather is a Registered Yoga Teacher. She completed her Yoga Long Island teacher training here at the Yoga  Darshana Center. Heather teaches a class that is inspired by  the power of breath, softening/opening of the heart, and  trusting in one’s own strength, while being compassionate, intentional and present. She has an abundance of gratitude for yoga, as it has empowered her to explore within her own practice “on” and “off” the mat. Sharing the gift of yoga as a teacher brings great joy into Heather's life.

Elaine Fruchtman, eRYT: Elaine is a registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS) Yoga Teacher Training Institute in Long Island. She graduated from SUNY at Buffalo with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. After training for the RYT she studied at the Phoenix Rising School of YT . To learn more about Phoenix Rising Yoga, go to PRYT.com. Elaine also is a RPYT, a registered teacher of prenatal yoga. She has been on the faculty of Yoga Darshana Center in West Babylon, NY teaching prenatal yoga to prospective yoga teachers. Elaine has focused much of her yoga teaching on people with Special Needs. She currently teaches people with MS, seniors and people with balance and flexibility concerns as well as people of all flexibilities.

Heather Casale eRYT: Heather received her Long Island yoga teacher certification from Yoga Darshana Center. This was the natural progression of her sincere love of yoga. Heather sought out yoga as a means to deal with stress and to exercise. She found these benefits, and so many more. Yoga has become her life’s passion and she finds delight in introducing others to the life changing effects it has to offer people from every walk of life. Heather has been trained in the Iyengar method under the guidance of Elaine Fruchtman and Jeff Logan. She has a very calm, grounded, friendly approach to teaching with clear & precise instruction.



200 hr Yoga Teacher Training Program

This comprehensive training will offer you a rare opportunity to immerse yourself into the transformational system of Yoga. Join with other like-minded yogis and take the next step in becoming an accomplished yoga practitioner and teacher. Upon completion of this program, you will leave Darshana with the confidence, skills and understanding to start a successful career as a yoga teacher. This program is also available to those who are not interested in teaching but wish to deepen their understanding and embodiment of yoga.

Payment: Registration fee is $300 to reserve your spot. The remaining tuition is then $2,100 (registration fee is non-refundable).


Full cost of program if paid in full by opening day is $2,400

Payment plan is available: $300 Registration and $500 initial payment due opening day,
$600 for next three months. Total cost of the program is $2600


Yoga Teacher Training Registration Payments

Cancellation & Registration Policies:

A refund is available (less a $300 registration fee) up until two days after program begins A refund of 50%
(less $300 registration fee) will be issued up until one week from opening day.
After one week credit will be issued towards future workshops or the next scheduled teacher training program.

This program is approved by the Yoga Alliance. Upon completion of this 200 hr teacher training program,
one is eligible to register at The Yoga Alliance and to teach yoga classes.

My experience with the teacher training program has been challenging and rewarding in ways I never would have known. I am 52 years old and yoga has helped me with my entire life. I am calmer more focused in the best shape physically and much healthier. During the training we worked in groups and I became very close with my classmates.
