5 Things That Could Happen To You

By Lisa Sabino (Graduate & Teacher)

You are a devout yogi who has thought about taking your practice further to the point of teaching others. You wonder if now is the right time and if you are advanced enough in your own practice to guide budding yogis. You wonder if it's the right program for you and if you can make the time commitment fit in with your work and family life. You aren't sure but an inner voice is calling you to check it out. Well, before you make this decision, thank goodness you have stumbled upon this article. As a recent graduate of the exact program you are researching, I must warn you about the short and long term effects of making this decision.

I cannot say enough about the Long Island Yoga Teacher Training Program at YDC. The program offers vast knowledge of yoga philosophy, history, and practice, and has opened my eyes and heart to the many dimensions of yoga. It has helped me to expand my conscious awareness, and to deepen my spiritual and physical practice. The teachers were brilliant and inspiring, and my classmates were beautiful spirits that I feel blessed to have as friends. ~Kristen Curley
