About Yoga Nidra Meditation Sessions (In Studio, Facetime or Zoom)
Yoga Nidra is a profound healing method that goes to the core of our stress and trauma. It is a systematic meditation technique that allows the connection to your true nature and pure being to unfold. This ancient technique is available to everyone and easy to practice.
Yoga Nidra sessions help to bring awareness to the various parts of us that need attention and removes the obstacles that keep us from realizing our true nature. These introspective sessions are a meditative dialogue that takes place between the teacher and student. During this process, pure awareness becomes the guide and inner psychologist. As layers of repressed and unwanted experiences are fully welcomed, the pain grip begins to loosen, insights come and there is more clarity, freedom and a better quality of life.
In a Yoga Nidra private session, you will be sitting back in a reclined chair and made very comfortable to engage in a process of deep inquiry. Your soul will determine the course of each session and the teacher’s role is to provide a safe container for you to welcome your experience, moment to moment. We will work with physical sensations, emotions, belief systems and pure being.
Yoga Nidra Meditation Sessions are generally about 45 minutes to 1 hour long.

Matt is the director at Darshana and has been practicing, studying and teaching yoga and meditation for over 18 years. He is a certified yoga instructor, ordained minister, reiki practitioner and has done extensive training in yoga nidra meditation through the iRest organization with Richard Miller and Regina Chaeli. Matt’s inspiration for helping others comes from his life long struggle of dealing with PTSD. He has been greatly helped with the tools he has learned and wishes to share them with those who are in need.

About Private Yoga Classes
Before coming to a private class, think about what you would like to address during your time with the teacher. Everyone comes for different reasons. Some students feel uncomfortable with a group but want to learn how to practice. Others have injuries or limitations and need extra support. We also get those who want to make sure they are doing the poses correctly and others just want to learn breathing and meditation. Whatever the reason, we have a wonderful group of skilled yoga teachers who will be happy to help you.

About Private Reiki Sessions
Reiki (Pronounced ray-key) means "universal life force energy". It's a healing technique used for relaxation, stress reduction and to promote healing. Reiki is gentle, soothing, and non-invasive. The client is treated through a series of specific hand positions placed gently on or above the body. Reiki energy flows through the practitioner, manifesting a heightened feeling of warmth. The Reiki practitioner merely serves as a vessel of healing.
Blockages of energy within our bodies can make us feel slow, depressed, and even sick. Reiki therapy works by re-balancing our energy system, on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. Reiki continues to gain acceptance into the medical community as a meaningful, cost-effective approach to promoting healing.
What to expect: A reiki session is administered via "laying on of hands" to the recipient. Reiki can be received either lying down or in a comfortable seated position. Unlike other healing treatments, the recipient remains fully dressed, as the Reiki energy will pass through clothing. The Reiki Master places their hands gently on or above the body (based on recipient preference) and moves them in a specific sequence along the body starting with head. Each hand position can be held for several minutes. Though you may not feel anything during a treatment, many people feel deep relaxation, peace, warmth, tingling sensations and radiant energy. Many people experience emotional release as well.

Diane is a recent graduate of Darshana's 200-hour Teacher Training Program, a reiki practitioner, and a public relations specialist. Within a few months of taking her first yoga class in 2014, she felt a strong desire to become a yoga teacher to help bring what she has experienced to others - a healthier outlook and approach to life in every way possible, together with a more balanced and grounded center that comes as a result of regular yoga practice.

This acupressure based massage focuses on specific areas of concern or pain rather than the whole body. This unique treatment uses moderate pressure to target areas of discomfort. This treatment is useful for conditions involving shoulders, elbows, wrist, hands, neck, hips, legs and back. Please wear loose fitting clothes for these sessions.

Regina has been in the healing arts for decades. She is a registered nurse, licensed massage therapist and a yoga teacher. Her love for yoga and healing has initiated her founding the Yoga Darshana Center and creating East Neck Yoga and Wellness Center. She has enjoyed caring for the caregiver and helping those who help themselves. Her healing skills are focused and effective.
